The maximum i can get is the same xml tools “how to install” pop up window you see. Welcome to the notepad++ community, i can reproduce this perfectly on notepad++ 7.5.9 using the old “Plugin Manager”. The “How to install” popup says: Please install external DLLs into NPP root directory… I even tried that and did not work the xmltools.dll is placed in the plugins subfolder. I run as a non-admin, but am prompted and provide correct admin account creds when NP++ asks for it.
